Introduction
Effective management, use of information and distribution of information are important factors in today’s fast-paced business environment. Cutting edge architectural and state-of-Art technology play vital role in achieving business Objectives and competitive advantage. Technology by itself cannot attain business goal but men behind technology lead to improvements in communication and operational processes. Call Centers require the integration of several different technologies to maximize the use of information and to streamline the activities of call center operators. Advancement of acumen, adaptation and integration of synergistic technologies have resulted the development of myriad features that accelerated the grow of such industry across the globe. The call center is the integration of Computer, Telephone and Human Operator. Again Telecommunication is a combination of technologies that send information over distance. Mobile phones, Land line, Satellite phones and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) are all telephony technologies, just one field of Telecommunication. Radio, Television and Network are a few more Example of telecommunication. Telephone Based Information cell, commonly known as the Call Center, has three types of agents. The agents in each type have the ability to provide one, two or three types of services. The Call Center is assumed to Provide Banking, Insurance and Travel sectors. Nevertheless, each on of the three sectors has its own specialized software and database. The computer and the telephone are two of the major and most essential tools of technology that have converged to make call centers more effective, dynamic and efficient. The proper use of appropriate software and technology assist operators to assimilate and analyze customer data to respond knowledgeably to their inquiries. This enormously benefits both the customer and the company, thus springboard the business and improves the activities of the sectors.

What is Call Center?

A Call center is a centralized facility that receives and makes large amount of telephone calls: Calls could be inbound, outbound or both. These are usually the calls to customers, calls for telemarketing and debt collection or information to customer’s query. Call Center in accordance to common perception is called as contact center. The difference between the call canter and the contact canter is that the contact center in addition to phone call deals with emails, faxes and online communication like instant messaging. Call Center is mostly used and created by large companies to interact with their customers or even to perform the internal function, like help desk and sales support. Some of the Call center works independently while others as a part of network.
